    Simple Facebook Strategies
    by ShaChena Gibbs

Are you new to Facebook Business Pages? or Need to update your current page? Great! Even if you been in business for many years and you have a business page already representing your brand on Facebook, you can always add to your page to give it a little facelift.

Just setting up a page is not enough. There are a few strategies I encourage you to implement to better serve your community. These steps will give your community easier access to finding what they are looking for to get to know more about your company/services and even you.

Facebook Business PagesYour name or page title - Choose a name/title that tells what the page is about. Use your company name, your name, your target market (ex; Women Entrepreneurs, The Coaches Coach, or Work at Home Moms in NY) you can also use a title that represents what your product is (ex; Pre Paid Debit Cards, Schools Supplies, or $5 Accessories for Teens)

About Section - Complete this area with a brief description about your business or self. In the 1st or 2nd line add your website url or the link to where you want your community to visit. This is so that it can be viewable and easier to access for those who are searching for it. If someone has to search for your information they may not or you may just loose their interest.

Engagement - Talk to your community, let them know you are real and you care about what they have to say. Ask questions to get their input on current products or services. Offer special discounts to loyal customers or clients.

Implement these few steps and you will begin to see some changes in Likes and engagement on your page. Just remember to communicate with your target audience, be consistent, and honest.

6 Steps to Starting a Successful Business
    by ShaChena Gibbs

Are you ready to start a business?
Did you do the necessary steps to get started? or
Did you start and just jumped right into it?

Don't worry you are into alone. Thousands of people start businesses every day and hundreds of them just jump right in and they miss a few steps too. Which is all good.

Start Your Own BusinessStarting off right can make things easier for you down the line. Now, if you didn't it's not too late to go back and fill in the blanks. The last thing you need is for a legal issue to happen and you have to pay fines or maybe if you need funding and it requires a certain document. If you have this document at the beginning then it will save you a lot of time later. You may not have to miss out on financial or media opportunities.

In The CEO System there are 6 Phase's. The CEO System was developed to assist entrepreneurs with proper business growth.
Phase 1 - The Non Paid Intern
Phase 2 - The Paid Intern
Phase 3 - The Entry Level CEO
Phase 4 - The Manager CEO
Phase 5 - The Director CEO
Phase 6 - The Master CEO

In this article I'm going to share some details from Phase 1 of The CEO System. The Non Paid Intern.

    1. The Idea - Assess your strengths and your business idea and then put it all together.

    2. Naming your business - Be creative and authentic. Think of something memorable that your customers will remember.

    3. Knowing if there is a need for your product/service - Do your market research. Contact the Census Bureau, ask friends, even do online surveys.

    4. Know your Niche Market - Know who you are marketing your services too. You may be able to serve everyone. However you need to market as if you are talking to just one ideal client.

    5. Choosing a location - At the beginning you need to decide where will you be running your business. Will you work from home, a virtual office, a coffee shop, the library or you have enough funding to open a street location along with all the over head.

    6. Get a Journal - While doing all of the above you want to journal about your journey, your failures and your successes.

    Women, Business, & Partnerships

    By ShaChena Gibbs

Are you a women in business? Have you ever thought about joining forces with other women in business? What stopped you from moving forward? You are not alone. Many women are partnering for success. Why not you?

Partnerships are designed to be a win/win situation. Both parties are supposed to be able to capitalize from the agreed partnership. Us women often let our emotions get in the way of success and that includes working with other women. It could be fear of reaching out to women who you believe are more successful than you are, or you “feel” she is not on your level. How about you just don’t like her style of dressing?! Not good.

Set your emotions aside and think about it like a BOSS a CEO. Will this partnership increase sales or visibility? If you said Yes to any of the two, then go for it!

Here are a few ways you can consider partnerships with a few great women in business:

    • Telesummits
    • Live events
    • Book Collaborations
    • Product Creations
    • Marketing

These are just a few ways and simple ones at that. All you have to do is come up with a great win/win and then contact the women or woman you may be interested. Much success in your new partnership.  Oh wait, make sure all agreements are in black and white. Generate contracts or agreements and get them signed.

How to create your own Income Opportunities

    By Shachena Gibbs

Are you ready for the holidays? Are you looking for extra cash to get the bills paid? Looking for more money to grow your business? You are not alone. There are many ways you can create additional income to your household.  This can be done without starting a new business. You just have to be creative and motivated.

Think about how much money you need and also how can you create more in your business. If you have a service business or product you can create additional income. I am not sure what you have going on in your business currently, however I am going to share a few ideas that may be helpful in your financial growth.

As you are working on these ideas, keep a journal so you can measure the results. You want to know if the strategies are working for you or a waste of time. You may just need to tweak a little.

    Strategy #1: Go Global

Real Sisters Rising Goes GlobalOpen up your market to other countries online. Do some research to find out what you need to have done to make it happen.  Contact a Business Attorney for your specific business type.

    Strategy #2: Membership Programs

A membership program can really help with your growth. Even Costco has a membership program. Joining a membership program for many people means additional discounts. Your membership program can be weekly, monthly, or yearly. Decide what you will offer your members for their money. It can be discounts, education, even sample products. Be creative.

    Strategy #3: Fundraisers

Many organizations and companies run fundraisers to get money for a specific reason. If you decide to run a fundraiser, I recommend you to use your own brand to do so. Put your logo on some mugs or tshirts or both and sell them online, use a sign up flyer, or at a vendor’s event. The goal is to make more money and brand your company.

Creating additional income opportunities are unlimited. Just be creative and motivated. Show excitement for your cause. You have to understand how much more you need and want. Know the structure of your business now and where you want it to be. Be prepared to ask for help. Your dreams can come true with a strong team.

How to position yourself as an expert.

    By ShaChena Gibbs

Do you have a skill or talent that you would love teach? Are you afraid people will not respect you as an expert in your field? Are you wondering how to become a known expert in your related field?

You are not alone. Positioning yourself as an expert is not hard at all especially if you are passionate about your craft. You may be already practicing your craft, however for FREE. Becoming a known expert can increase your visibility and income with these tips I am going to share below. The goal is be able and ready to step out and be seen and heard. If you are ready to go BIG…..continue reading.

2013 is here and there are many new entrepreneurs and many entrepreneurs who are taking their business to the next level by creating products and services. Some have even began public speaking and joining new organizations. How are you going to increase your income and position yourself as the go to person in your field?

First thing first….you must believe you are and expert and you are the BEST at what you do. There are many doing the same thing you do, you just have a different way of delivery. Go for it!

    Record yourself on audio

Recording an audio of yourself teaching a lesson is as easy as picking up your phone and calling into a conference line and begin your lesson.  Once you have downloaded your recording to your PC, you can also download to a CD, design, and sell.

    Write a book

A book is one of the best business cards you can have. It gives you creditability not only with your audience also with the media.

    Conduct a workshop

Host a live workshop and have it recorded onto a DVD, design, and sell. You can purchase a flip cam or use a digital camera that has video enabled.

    Develop and eBook

Ebooks are very very easy to do. You can begin writing and formatting in Microsoft Word and if you have 2007 or later version you may have the PDF plugin already or you can download a Free version at www.primopdf.comand easily convert your document to PDF. Now you can upload to your website and begin selling with a few other minor details.

Begin speaking locally or on conference calls. You can speak for free or a fee. I prefer a fee.  Speakers are considered experts. Get out and let people know who you are and how you can help them become better with your assistance.

    Keep Rising,

    ShaChena Gibbs

Women Authors Get Your Articles Noticed by Magazine Editors

    By Cheryl Lacey Donovan

Perhaps you would like to become one of the women who write for magazines. Here are some magazine submission tips that will help you get started.

Women writers will find there are many opportunities for magazine writers. There are magazines on most any topic you can think of: sports, hobbies, business, collectibles, cars, boats, decorating, cooking, child rearing, and children's interests. This creates an open market for women writers.

Perhaps you would like to become one of the women who write for magazines. Here are some magazine submission tips that will help you get started.

    Find the Right Magazine

The first step is to find a publication that covers the topics you want to write about. You can find a list of publications in a directory for writers at a bookstore. Libraries usually offer a reference list in a "List of Periodicals." Also, look for a sizable selection of magazines at a large bookstore.

The next thing to do is read the publications you are interested in writing for and identify their editorial perspective. This will give you an idea of how to adapt your article to their interests. You normally wouldn't send an article on cooking to a sailing magazine. But possibly you could change the focus of your article to cooking on a sailboat. This would give you a much better chance of seeing your article published. Generally, you will have more results writing for a magazine that covers the same types of subjects as your article.

    Send a Cover Letter

When you are ready to submit articles to a publication, send a cover letter to the editor outlining your idea. Make it clear and simple with an outline of your subjects. Give the approximate length of your article and promise to deliver on their deadline. Enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope and wait to hear from them. Make a pitch to several magazines and customize it for each one you contact.

You might receive many rejections before you are accepted. This is where you need to persevere and not give up on being a woman author! Once your article has been published in a magazine, it will be worth the wait. Some magazines don't pay for articles, but at least you will be published and able to add to your credentials.

Writing Professionally as a Woman Author

Always submit your best writing. Women writers who want to be published must be smart and professional. Don't waste an editor's time on hastily written copy or missed deadlines. It is suggested that when submitting an article to magazines, you should meet your word count within only 15 words above or below the number requested.

Send a handwritten thank-you note to the editor after you've been published. Wait a few weeks and send another pitch to sell your next idea. Try to build a professional relationship where your name and quality work will be recognized. Be a dependable, professional woman writer that the editor will look forward to hearing from.

Get started with your research, and write letters to editors on a regular basis. You will see results once you are committed to writing. There is a huge market waiting for magazine writers, especially women magazine writers. Get started today in this fulfilling profession as a woman magazine author!

I received this article in a newsletter. I read it and felt the need to share with my friends. Please read and comment below.

5 Simple Steps to Clear the Energy of Your Home and Office

I am an energy sensitive person and it is important to me to have the energy of my home and office feeling light, clear and uplifted.

For many years I had the office of my Holistic Psychotherapy practice in my home.  People loved coming into my home and office because I was very conscious about the energy and actively did things to clear and nurture the energy on a regular basisundefinedand they could certainly feel it.

Here are 5 steps you can take to both clear and uplift the energy in your home or office so it feels GREAT for you AND your Clients

    1. Clap around the perimeter of the room- Dense energy in rooms tends to accumulate along the walls and particularly in the corners.  Clap in front of you along the wall as you walk the perimeter of the room to break the energy up. You can clap in the corners from the baseboard as high as you can stretch your arms.  It can be helpful to have a window open as you are doing this for this dense energy to release.  Wash your hands when you are done.
    2. Go around the room and ring a Bell around the perimeter of the room- You can see what bell feels right to you.  I use a Balinese bell I had purchased when I was in Bali.  I also use a small “chimey” bell that my friend Reuben had given me that has meaning for me because I had a beautiful Spiritual Connection with him.
    3. Go around the room and either smudge with Sage or find a spray that has Sage in it. You can find Sage at any New Age bookstore.  The smoke from Sage can be quite heavy so I have switched to using a spray that has essential oils including Sage.  Look on-line for sprays that have Sage in it. Sage is very clearing and purifying.
    4. Walk around and state inwardly or out loud your intentions for the Space. By stating clearly your intentions for the kind of energy and experiences you want to have in the space you set the “tone” for the energy.   You can say “I invoke the energy of lightness, healing, joy and expansiveness in this space.”
    5. Play Spiritual Music in the Space-As your final step play spiritual, high vibration music to uplift the energy in the space to a very high vibration.  I use chanting music.  My favorite is songs are  by Snatum Kaur who does Indian devotional music.   My favorite album of hers is “Grace.”  I would play her music in between client sessions and clients would come in and say “If feels SO good in here.”

Even if you work with your clients by phone the same energy clearing principles apply.  I have phone sessions with my coaching clients in my home office and I keep the energy as clear as it would be if they were walking into the space.  When we are on the phone they are feeling both my energy and the energy of the space I am in at the same time.

The more you nurture the energy in your home and office the more it will nurture you and your clients!  I would love to hear your comments about this articleundefinedor any practices you have to keep the energy clear in your home or office.

How women can work together & have fun!
    by ShaChena Gibbs

Okay this is not really an article, it's more like me just sharing a thought I had today.
I was reading post on Facebook and there were so many invitations to Girls Night Out.

Do you realize us women can create empires when we work together? I know what does that have to do with Girls Night Out, right?

Girls Night OutWell, If you have a room full of like minded women and a great idea, some food/drinks a major corporation can be created that night.
First of all we are born multitasker's. We can play and work and still move mountains.

This is just a thought I had and I wanted to share. So at your next Girls Night Out, remember to get the ladies to help you brainstorm on your great idea. You may end up with your first official team.

    Ask Coach Brandy

Heyyy, are you in need of business advice from a Purposeful Coach who can help you create a successful business? Every week we will post Q & A's from our expert coach Brandy Adamson. She is helping business owners all over create income driven empires, will you be next?

    *Dear Coach,

I was not very successful last year and I want to be sure that I am successful in 2013.  What are some things I can do to be successful before year’s end?

    Rebecca, Chicago, IL

    *Dear Rebecca,

Thank you for your email. As we are all aware, time waits for no one and it is refreshing to read when individuals are desirous of improving their lives.  While you may not have accomplished as much as you desired last year, we encourage you to celebrate your successes.

    Develop Your Hot List
Rather than a TO DO LIST, I encourage my clients to develop a HOT LIST – these are items that MUST be accomplished immediately. These are tasks that can be completed relatively quickly – in 3 to 5 business days.

Identify an Accountability Partner or Hire a Coach
An accountability partner is someone that, like you, has goals that he/she wants to attain by year’s end. Your accountability partner holds you responsible for attaining the goals you identified while being a support and champion. A coach works in the same way – providing insight, encouragement and energy as you complete your HOT LIST.

    Remain Focused
In the mornings before the telephone begins ringing and the blackberry starts blinking, take 30 minutes to an hour at the start of your day to work on your HOT LIST. By remaining focused on your HOT LIST you will get much accomplished rather than multi-tasking throughout the day.

    Celebrate your successes
Celebrating your successes could be as simple as enjoyable as reading your favorite magazine, to scheduling a massage. Celebrate in a way that keeps you motivated to continue.

We wish you much continued success!

A strategist and visionary, Brandy Adamson works with her clients to identify their purpose and authentic selves.  She also teaches her clients to monetize their authentic selves, resulting in living life by design, not by default.  Adamson develops customized, effective strategies for brand and product development. She is a public speaker who addresses the needs of her clients in the areas of empowerment, entrepreneurship, leadership and diversity.

How do you build your eMail List from Social Media Sites?

By ShaChena Gibbs & Sister Friends

Are you like most online entrepreneurs, marketing using social media? Where are you driving traffic to from your social media communities? Or are you just leaving potential customers there?

If you are using social media to get the word out about your business products or services, you should be moving your audience over to your website and into an opt in/email list. What would happen if Facebook or Twitter shut down today? How will your tribe find you?

You would have lost contact with more than 500+ friends/contacts.

I have asked a few of my online friends to help me share some great tips for you to start building your Email List while you are using Social Media.

How do you build your eMail List from Social Media Sites? | Shachena Gibbs

Don’t forget to leave your signature.

When you are commenting on blogs, be sure to add an invitation to get your Give A way along with the link to your opt in page. Not only will this allow people to check you out, it will give you more internet exposure. It’s a form of back linking your site. The more you leave your signature after your comment, the more exposure you give to your irresistible offer.

    ShaChena Gibbs, The Business Shero

Don’t be afraid to give it away.

I've found that one of the best ways to convert social media efforts to new subscribers; you need to give them a reason to get on your list. We're regularly inundated and overwhelmed with email, so you really have to give folks a good reason to want to get your email regularly. Have a quality product: an ebook, a video series, a teleclass, something that you'd regularly charge for. And give it away for FREE (just opt-in to your list). Then continue to provide the quality in each email you send.

    Katy Tafoya, Success for Soloprenuers

Build your list via Social Media without posting on Social Media

Use smarter email marketing strategies & tools to help build your list from your social media audience without posting each entry directly onto your social media pages.

    Donna Johnson, Ggene S.I.S., LLC

    Blogging Articles or Useful Lists

Providing web visitors with a useful article or list of tips that can be downloaded is a way to encourage them to sign up with your site.

    Joan Gosier, HBCU kidz, Inc

The Power of Facebook Page Timeline Apps

Many have been a little put off since the change to the Timeline. All is not lost. Effective use of the apps (previously called tabs) can lead your prospect to follow your call to action and connect to your community/list. You offer an IFO (irresistible free offer) that is set up on a landing page on your app. There are various ways to do this. You can use an Iframe or vendors who make it easy to create apps. Your image for the app and link at the bottom are key. Incorporate this w/ FB ads.

    Robin Tramble, Robin Tramble International

Work at Home, Fill Your Calendar!

I think one of the best ways to drive traffic to your site is by providing good value and a call to action. A free give away or recording is always good. The more you give the more you get!

Every direct seller wants more business or bookings, so often I give away FREE seminars for tips and techniques on how to find business and also how to improve your skills to date the leads.

    Deb Bixler

The Cashflow Is In Your List

Often I offer some give-away to get my audience to opt in to my list. A promotional gift card or one free coaching call are usually some items I may offer. Then I follow up consistently with powerful tips that will build your credibility to your growing community, which is your list. You can also build your list by attending industry networking events. Be prepared with your cards & a pen in hand.

Wendy Lovejoy, Birthing a Businesss COACHING

No Sign-In Sheet Shall Go To Waste

I join as many groups that are related to my business and service. I use their pages to post information and also my web and email address. Usually interested group members will contact take the time to sign up for my list, if I am mentioning the reasons why they should join my email list.

    Simone Higginbotham, ShePhoenix Productions

    Give Them Something Yummy!

One simple way of driving traffic to your opt-in through social media sites is to create content that’s ‘yummy.’ In other words, give your social media fans something that they’d like in exchange for their email address. You could for instance, create a squeeze page that makes it simple for them to opt in. Using this technique is a great way to attract new subscribers who are happy to receive content and get a yummy gift in exchange for their email.

    Vicki Olubi, My Curls

    Join a Facebook Party

Usually on Friday if you have a Facebook account, there is a business promoting Fan Page Friday. On Fan Page Friday, page owners open up their business pages to allow other business page owners to come and share the to their business pages. It’s usually a tag or link to your fan page. Some of the best networkers usually introduce themselves along with sharing their links. Build relationships and people will begin to like you and follow you to your page where they can find the link to your awesome Give A Way.

    ShaChena Gibbs, The Business Shero

Well Congratulations to you on your journey to building a massive list!

    Keep Rising,
